DIRECTOR
Michelina Smith (she/her) is a Rhode Island-raised, NYC-based theatre artist and creative hodgepodge. As a dancer-turned-actress-turned-director, Michelina was always drawn to the performing arts, but it wasn’t until high school that she found her artistic voice through theatre: an outlet that empowers socially anxious teenagers to embrace their unapologetic selves. With her double major in Theatre Directing and English at Fordham University, Michelina aims to create innovative work that stimulates conversations and inspires others. Dedicated to spreading authenticity and laughter, she strives to cultivate equitable and accessible spaces where all creators feel free to explore their artistic impulses. She wholeheartedly believes that creativity is sparked by meaningful connections between collaborators who lead with empathy. In her treasured free time, you can find Michelina crocheting, journalling, or strolling through Central Park with an iced chai latte.
