KEI SUGAE

ACTOR

Kei Sugae (they/them) is a multidisciplinary American Japanese artist who loves to explore the beauty world. They use their training in Linklater Voice, Alexander Technique, and their acting training at Fordham to bring diverse characters to life. They have been in Fordham’s production of The Tempest (Antonio), and Three Penny Opera (Matthew/Street Singer Swing) among other productions and have delved into expanding their breadth of capabilities, building skills for experimental and classical work. Beyond theatre, their passion is behind the camera doing photography, observing and capturing the world, striving to have greater empathy to inform their craft. They are interested in exploring the emotional nuances of people through their art. The complexity of emotions, explosive and subtle, are what make humans such beautiful creatures.
